The Elmton in Strutders

I ordered the broasted chicken from elmton for a work party and it was delicious.

Food is always great. I feel like this place should be on Diners, Driveins, and Dives.

The pizza was cold and undercooked and the fried veggie platter was just smoosh. This place is getting worse and worse. The pizza used to be the best in Youngstown.

you gotta be in the mood for local, dive bar food, but if you are, the Broasted Chicken has been a local delicacy for over 50 years. their pizza is also famous, but i don't care for Swiss cheese. the chicken wings, however, are in a league of their own. and that is saying something when there's Wings Express Reloaded in Hubbard and the Royal Oaks on the east side.

Best pizza ever! The broasted chicken is very good. The people that works there are great. Service is always very friendly. I like going there to relax and eat. You don't feel rushed. You can meet people there for lunch or dinner and eat and talk. You can enjoy your company along with the friendliness of the staff.

Go Elmton. Not sure what changed, but I went there the other day and it was the best pizza I've had in a long long time. Something is different and it now tastes more like it it did when I was a kid. I can't wait to go back for more.

one of the best places to order pizza, pepperoni is on top of the cheese and green peppers are added. Can't wait to try it again.

Had a great night..Met the singer from Fins to the Left. (Jimmy Buffet tribute). Great food. Great time. This is my grandson Murphy.. says best pizza ever! Looks like he means it....

Pricey but good. They rectified a messed up order I had. Good overall.

Best white pizza anywhere!! We eat here every time we go in town to visit family we eat there.

When they brought us our order the food was not hot. So when they went to warm it up the waitress spilled it in the kitchen and we had to wait another hour for our food. Then when we got our entrees they were not very good this place has gone down hill tremendously and we will never return. Then both of us had stomach aches all night. Update. So we thought we'd give him another chance so we were there on 2/29/2020. I ordered the veal parmesan with spaghetti and as I tried to eat the veal I flipped the piece over and it was totally burned and hard as a rock. The bad part is they tried to hide the burned spot. What else are they hiding?

I gave it a 4 because i didn't get to stay long enough and try all the food. But what i did try was very pleasing. The inside was beautiful and spotless.

Not sure if it was just the day but the pizza was really salty, maybe from the cheese. Crust was excellent as it always is. Service was pretty good, one employee sat on the back steps as we tried to leave and wouldn't move, thought that was kind of rude.

I like to consider my self a pizza connoisseur lol i absolutely love pizza and being that ive lived in the are 20 plus years im disappointed in myself i didnt come here !!sooner absolutely phenomenal! While i was waiting for my pizza tonight i had the pleasure of speaking with a nice lady who happened to inform me her father inlaw opened the elmton 75 years ago they have always had the same recipe and never changed a thing..after tonight i completely understand why will definitely be going back many more times !!

Even tho we didn't get the pizza we order thru delivery it was still delicious! We also ordered wings and they were enormous and filled with flavor. Will definitely be ordering here again. Just hope we get the right pizza next time 😜

Elmton is delicious! If you go you have to try the broasted chicken and their pizza. I don't even live in Struthers but I drive in for the chicken and pizza. YUM!

So we were here from out of town. This place was recommended by a friend. The food did NOT disappoint! Loved the pizza and the cheese sticks are a must! The prices are really reasonable as well!The reason for the 3 stars is because the service was bad. 2 1/2 hours in the restaurant waitress was not attentive. Waited for my wife's water even had to ask the bar for a water. Waitress ignored us and and didn't respond to any of our requests.If the service was on par this would be a 5 star review!

By far some of the best food in the area! The pizza here is incredible, and has now been my go to place at least once a week. The staff is great, with Stephanie being great at suggestions my first few times there.

We had terrible service. We came in at about 10:30 and they closed at 11. We asked the server lady if they could get us in really fast. We already knew our order and everything because we’ve been coming here for years. She said “Ugh I guess I could get you in” and she was already in a bad mood judging by her mean tone. She gets our order and gives us our drinks and we’re waiting for a while. So after like 10 minutes she comes to us and say we can’t serve you anymore. We were like what. She said that they didn’t have time to make us a small pizza. Now we’ve been here before and it only takes them at most 15 minutes to make a pizza here. So she made us leave. At least we didn’t have to pay for our drinks I guess. And it was saddening because we really love the food here. So my advice, don’t come an hour before closing.

I have been enjoying this bar and restaurant since I was a child over 70 years ago. Went there with my parents . Best pizza in the world. Love it, great food, cold beer and good service.

Best pizza, chili dogs, and chicken salads for the last century in Youngstown, Ohio. Stop giving your money to the big chains and get the best around for less than you are used to paying for dinner.

Haven't been in years, but sure happy to have gone back! Fast service, excellent food and phenomenal prices! Cant wait to go back for more pizza!

Great pizza and chicken parm.

I’m not sure what’s going on but The Elmton used to have the best pizza in THE WORLD!! We live approx 25 miles away and we would go over two to three times a month just for a pie. (May times I said I was going to get something else but never did that’s how good it was) The last three times the pizza was different. I noticed it, my family noticed it, and so did our friends. I’m not sure what they did but there were rumors they changed the CHEESE! And if they did why? Why mess with the best of the best? It will be awhile before we go back and when we do I’ll either retract this post or add to it let’s hope for a retraction.

Home town food, mostly Italian, with excellent pizza. Portion size leaves some to take home. Very busy. Good service.

If you're not from Youngstown yet happen to be reading this, I cannot undersell this point - you will not find better pizza ANYWHERE than what you'll find in the Y. The Elmton is a prime example of a shop being at the top of their craft. The crust, the cheese blend or the sauce - take any one of those and you have yourself a fine pie, but throw them all together and you have a masterpiece. Of note, they put green pepper slices on all pizzas, so your kids will likely balk. Just tell them to grow up and enjoy life already. Or take them off the pizza, whatever works for you.

I grew up on this pizza and chicken but hadn't had it in years. Finally found my way back for a pizza and it was as delicious as I remembered. This is a Youngstown landmark which should be supported by the community for another 100 years. A+ Elmton!

Love to go there. It is my all time favorite pizza. Live in Alabama now but when I go home it is a must.

It was just wonderful. The cavatelli and meatballs was delicious and a great size for the price. The waitress was so kind and helpful. I can't wait to go back.
